Hearing God Through Actions and Preaching

I am so thankful for those who take time to preach the Word the way it's supposed to be preached. A preacher who truly preaches for God tells you what's right and what's wrong and tells you to stay away from what's wrong. Your soul will not be saved from the hot fires of hell if you keep doing wrong. If your preacher is telling you otherwise, you'll want to change churches. No, you won't always get it right, but keep trying to get it right. If in doubt about whether your actions are right or wrong, go back to my thankful posts from the last two days about Hearing God.

Acts of kindness won't get you to heaven, but they are favored by God over the lack of kindness. A kind act from others towards you makes you feel warm inside, doesn't it? You can give others that same feeling by being kind as well. These actions, when done unselfishly, give us peace. That's what God wants for us. I'm thankful I have that peace today.

I hope you've enjoyed this month of thanks. Concentrate on these 30 things to be thankful for and you likely won't be able to think of a single thing to gripe about.
